Humi by Employment Hero continues to serve existing clients and is the product Employment Hero recommends for businesses in Quebec or needing French-language support. The main Employment Hero platform covers HR, payroll, recruitment, benefits, and time and attendance.

Canada note

Employment Hero's Canadian payroll calculates federal and provincial income tax, CPP, CPP2 and EI, prepares CRA remittance schedules and T4 packages, and generates ROEs when Payroll and HR are both active, applying provincial rules for the provinces it supports. For Québec, Employment Hero points customers to Humi by Employment Hero, which it says is built for Quebec compliance, with data stored on AWS servers in Canada.

Typical Canada pricing: Custom quote for all core HR and Employment plans; Payroll add-on $7 per employee per month (minimum $70/month); Managed Payroll $30 per employee per month (minimum $500/month); 10-user minimum. Currency and tax treatment not labelled on the pricing page.

Knit People is a Toronto-based payroll and HR platform aimed at Canadian small businesses with 1 to 100 employees, adding hiring, HR and time tracking tools to payroll. Knit says it has been in business for 11 years and serves more than 1,700 small business clients. Its plans are priced per employee per month with a monthly base fee and a 30-day free trial.
