Disclosure: how we make money
WrenchStack makes money in two ways: commissions and referral rewards from vendor programs, and pricing benchmark reports sold to software vendors. Both are described on this page.
WrenchStack may earn a commission or a referral reward when readers sign up with a vendor through a tracked link on our pages. Of the 127 software tools in the directory, 6 have a tracked affiliate or referral link; the per-vendor ledger lists the status of every one. Reviews in the other categories state their affiliate status on the page. The vendor pays the commission or reward; we add no charge of our own.
How affiliate relationships affect rankings
On each trade page, field-service software is ordered by fit for that trade, then by the WrenchStack Fit Score (vertical fit 60%, pricing transparency 20%, integration coverage 20%), then by name. Neither the ordering nor the score has an input for affiliate status, commission rate or referral reward. On 17 of the 21 trade pages, none of the tools ranked first has a tracked affiliate or referral link. Lead generation, insurance, payroll and marketing agencies are grouped by published tier rules that use verified facts only.
Pricing benchmark reports
We also sell pricing benchmark reports to software vendors, including vendors listed on this site. Whether a vendor bought a report is not an input to any listing, Fit Score, ranking, award or reputation flag, or to whether a product is listed. Each sale is listed in the report ledger with the buyer's Fit Score, rank, award and reputation flag when it ordered and today, and is noted on the buyer's tool page and on the trade pages that list it. The price, the rules and the report terms are linked from the vendor page.
FTC disclosure
The FTC's
Endorsement Guides
call for clear disclosure of material connections such as affiliate commissions. This page, the
per-vendor ledger, the report ledger and the disclosures on each review and trade page are how we disclose ours.
Affiliate links use rel="sponsored" in the page source. Outbound CTAs use
nofollow noopener for security and search engine signaling.
