Pricing benchmark report terms
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms apply to every WrenchStack pricing benchmark report. They apply together with our Terms of Use; where the two differ, these terms apply.
1. What you buy
One report on one WrenchStack trade page, in English, emailed as a PDF to the address on the invoice by the delivery date. The delivery date falls the number of business days stated on the invoice after the day your payment completes. The report covers the platforms on that trade page on the day it is written, and places your product's published price, packaging and pricing terms against them. Questions go by email to bilal@wrenchstack.com; there are no calls or meetings.
2. Sources
The report uses vendors' public pages and what WrenchStack already publishes. Information another vendor sent us privately is not included unless it already appears on that vendor's WrenchStack listing. Each published price is read from the vendor's own page while the report is written, where that page can be read. Where it cannot, the report says so and shows the page used and the date it was last read.
3. Dates
Each figure is as read on the date it shows. Prices and terms change, and the report is not updated after delivery.
4. Independence
Whether you bought a report is not an input to any WrenchStack listing, Fit Score, ranking, award or reputation flag, or to whether a product is listed. Buying a report gives no preview of what we publish, no advance notice of changes and no say over what we publish. The report does not explain or recalculate any Fit Score and does not say how any vendor could change its position. Whether a product publishes a price is one of the three Fit Score factors (pricing transparency, 20%, set out on our methodology page); the report describes published pricing for every platform, yours included, and computes no score. Prices we re-read for a report go through the same second check of the vendor's page as routine re-checks and are updated on WrenchStack for every platform on that trade page, buyer or not, no later than the day the report is delivered.
We do not quote a price, send an invoice or take an order while an evaluation, correction, pricing question, dispute or reputation-flag review is open between your company and us, or within 30 days after the latest listing verdict, correction or reputation-flag email we sent you. If one of these opens after you have paid, it follows our normal process and timeline, your order continues, and the report ledger notes it and its outcome. A claim that a report sale affected a listing goes to hello@wrenchstack.com with the page URL; each one gets a written reply, and a confirmed problem is corrected on the page and noted in the report ledger.
5. Public listing of the sale
We list each sale in the report ledger on wrenchstack.com/methodology/: your company and product, the trade, the month of payment, the price paid, the order status, and your product's Fit Score, rank, award and reputation flag on that trade page when you ordered and today, with the cause of any difference. The figures from when you ordered are also stated on your invoice. The sale is also noted on your product's tool page and counted on the trade pages that list your product. Refunded orders stay listed. The report's cover states that your company paid for it and did not review or approve its contents.
6. Use
The report is for internal use by your company and its advisers. Without our written permission, do not publish it, resell it, share it outside your company, or quote it in advertising, sales material or comparisons with named competitors, and do not present it as a WrenchStack endorsement, ranking or award.
7. No warranty
The report is information, not legal, financial or pricing advice. It is provided as is, without any warranty of accuracy or completeness and without a guarantee of any result.
8. Corrections
If a figure differed from its source on the date shown, tell us by email within 30 days of delivery, with the source. If we confirm the error, we send a corrected PDF and make the same correction on the site.
9. Payment
Payment is by PayPal invoice in US dollars, due on receipt. You can pay with a PayPal account or, where PayPal offers it in your country, by debit or credit card without one. Work starts when the payment completes. We add no fee.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund at any time before delivery, and also if we have not delivered by the delivery date in clause 1. After delivery there is no refund, unless the report covers a different trade from the one ordered. A refund is not given because of anything WrenchStack publishes on its site.
11. Liability
Our total liability for a report is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. The version in force on the date of your invoice applies to your order.
