⚠ Bark's BBB profile, listed for its operating company under an Austin, Texas address, shows no BBB accreditation. It listed 85 complaints closed in the last three years when checked on 30 September 2026. Under Bark's own terms you spend credits before you can reach the customer, up to five pros can contact the same customer, and credits are refunded only if you report within 7 days that the contact details are invalid.

Bark is an online services marketplace run by Bark.com Global Limited of London, majority-owned by private equity firm EMK Capital since 2022; its careers site says it launched in Ireland in 2019. The Irish site covers trades such as plumbers, electricians and roofers alongside business, events and lessons. Customers post a request and professionals spend credits to respond, paying a one-off fee per response and no commission.

Bark runs a dedicated Irish site (bark.com/en/ie) with an Irish contact number, but it is UK-built and its terms fall under the law of England and Wales. The Irish pricing page gives no euro prices: Bark says the credit cost depends on the service, job value and local supply and demand.

Onlinetradesmen.ie is an Irish site that connects property owners with trade professionals. Ted Laverty set it up in 2005, and he was quoted as its CEO in November 2024 when it published a survey of Irish builders, plumbers, electricians and landscapers. Tradespeople join through a paid membership; current prices and terms could not be read for this check.
