London-based services marketplace with an Irish site where pros spend credits to contact customers

⚠ Bark's BBB profile, listed for its operating company under an Austin, Texas address, shows no BBB accreditation. It listed 85 complaints closed in the last three years when checked on 30 September 2026. Under Bark's own terms you spend credits before you can reach the customer, up to five pros can contact the same customer, and credits are refunded only if you report within 7 days that the contact details are invalid.

Bark is an online services marketplace run by Bark.com Global Limited of London, majority-owned by private equity firm EMK Capital since 2022; its careers site says it launched in Ireland in 2019. The Irish site covers trades such as plumbers, electricians and roofers alongside business, events and lessons. Customers post a request and professionals spend credits to respond, paying a one-off fee per response and no commission.

Pros

+ No commission on jobs won and no charge for follow-up messages
+ Irish site covering many trade categories
+ One-time starter pack guarantee that returns credits if you win nothing

Cons

− You pay credits to respond before you know if the customer will answer
− Up to five professionals can contact the same customer
− Credits bought after 1 November 2025 expire after 3 months
− Refunds only for invalid phone numbers, bounced emails or unverified details reported within 7 days

Ireland note

Bark runs a dedicated Irish site (bark.com/en/ie) with an Irish contact number, but it is UK-built and its terms fall under the law of England and Wales. The Irish pricing page gives no euro prices: Bark says the credit cost depends on the service, job value and local supply and demand.

Typical Ireland pricing: Credit packs, spent per response, with no commission; Bark sets each lead's credit cost by service, job value and local demand and publishes no euro prices; credits valid 3 months

Its pages blocked automated access during our 30 September 2026 check, so how it works, what it charges and any figures it publishes could not be confirmed.

Pros

+ Irish .ie website
+ One more channel to compare with other Irish lead sites
+ Domain registered since 2016, according to the .ie registry

Cons

− How it works and what it charges could not be confirmed

Ireland note

Tradesman.ie (singular) is a different site from Tradesmen.ie, which has its own entry. Before paying for membership or leads, check on the site how jobs reach tradespeople, whether several tradespeople quote for the same job, and what it costs.

Typical Ireland pricing: No prices confirmed: the site could not be read during this check
