Two Oman software options, compared side by side for Oman trades.
Which should you choose?
ClearTax (Fawtara e-invoicing) and Oracle Primavera P6 are both Tier A. Compare the typical pricing shown for each below. The tier is not a quality ranking: weigh the pros, cons, pricing and Oman-specific notes below against your trade and region.
ClearTax (Fawtara e-invoicing)
Tier A ยท ListedOTA-accredited Fawtara e-invoicing service provider (per ClearTax)
ClearTax, a product of Defmacro Software Pvt. Ltd., sells an e-invoicing platform for Oman's Fawtara system and says it is an OTA-accredited service provider and a Peppol-registered platform; FF News and TechAfrica reported the Oman Tax Authority accreditation in July 2026. It validates invoices against the PINT OM specification and connects to ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero and QuickBooks. It is a compliance layer on top of your accounting system, not accounting software.
Pros
- + OTA-accredited service provider for Fawtara (per ClearTax and July 2026 news)
- + PINT OM validation and pre-transmission checks
- + Ready connectors for SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Xero and QuickBooks
- + Muscat postal address listed on its Oman page
Cons
- โ No public prices: demo and quote only
- โ Compliance layer only: you still need accounting software
- โ Oman page offers no Arabic version
- โ A second vendor and contract alongside your accounting software
Oman note
Oman is phasing in mandatory e-invoicing (Fawtara) through accredited service providers. ClearTax's page lists a pilot for the top 100 taxpayers from August 2026, businesses with annual supplies of OMR 5 million or more from April 2027 and the rest from October 2027; the Oman Tax Authority's FAQ gives different phase dates, so check your own start date with the OTA. Oracle Primavera P6
Tier A ยท ListedOracle's critical-path scheduling and project portfolio software
Primavera P6 is Oracle's project scheduling line: P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM), which Oracle offers on-premises or in the cloud, and the desktop P6 Professional. Oracle's documentation describes P6 Professional as designed for large-scale, multifaceted projects, with unlimited resources and target plans. Both products are documented up to version 26.
Pros
- + Critical-path scheduling with unlimited resources and target plans (per Oracle)
- + Portfolio and multi-project planning in P6 EPPM
- + P6 EPPM runs on-premises or in Oracle's cloud
- + Current release (version 26) documented on docs.oracle.com
Cons
- โ No public prices: quote from Oracle or a partner
- โ No Oman reseller confirmed in this check
- โ Built for professional planners; a learning curve for occasional users
- โ Scheduling only: no accounting or VAT
Oman note
If a client or tender specifies the programme format or scheduling software, confirm the exact requirement before you buy. P6 handles scheduling only, so Oman VAT records and invoices stay in your accounting system.
