HomeStars is a Toronto-based marketplace that connects Canadian homeowners with home service pros. HomeAdvisor, then part of IAC, acquired it in 2017, and Angi Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI) lists HomeStars among the international businesses it owns in its 2025 annual report. Angi Inc. says revenue in that segment comes mainly from lead fees for consumer matches and membership subscriptions paid by pros.

RenovationFind is a directory of home renovation and building companies in Canadian cities, such as Calgary, that it lists as RenovationFind Certified. RenovationFind says certified companies pass legal and credit background checks and are checked for a business licence, insurance and WCB or WSIB coverage. It grades certified companies with its own rating of A-, A or A+, where BBB accreditation counts toward the higher grades.
