Quick verdict

Who Rebuild fits: Restoration companies that write insurance estimates in Xactimate and want estimates drafted from the photos, moisture readings and notes their crews already collect, and that are willing to book a demo to get a price. Pricing: No published price: Rebuild's site offers only a demo, and Rebuild told us its pricing is on request (October 2026). The iOS app is free to download. Its terms say paid features are billed through a third-party payment processor and that fees can change at any time, and they do not state a contract length, trial, cancellation or refund terms, or whether you pay per user, per estimate or per company. Drawbacks: No published price; terms state no contract, cancellation or refund terms and allow fee changes at any time; privacy policy does not mention AI or model training; improvement figures without a stated method; Android app not found; restoration only.

About Rebuild

Rebuild is an AI estimating tool for restoration companies, run by Rebuild Technology Inc., which gives an address at 817 Broadway in New York in its terms. Its about page names Alex Toporek as CEO and John Reim as a co-founder.

The idea is that the estimate is written from the documentation your team already collects. In the Rebuild app you take photos, capture moisture readings, record voice notes and upload tic sheets; its documentation page also describes Reece, a voice assistant that walks the crew through each space and asks follow-up questions. Rebuild turns that documentation, or a voice note, 3D scan or document you add, into estimate line items, and its estimating page says it reviews the documentation to find line items that should be added. Its home page shows project types including interior and exterior reconstruction, mitigation, contents, mold, fire mitigation, biohazard and time and material. Rebuild describes the review step as "Spend minutes reviewing instead of days writing"; its estimating page says "Generate an estimate in 90 seconds or less" and its home page says less than 2 minutes. Its documentation page says creating 3D sketches in the app is coming soon.

The finished estimate goes to Xactimate, Verisk's estimating program. Rebuild's site footer calls it an ecosystem partner with an Xactimate integration, and its estimating page says it is a Verisk ecosystem partner that exports estimates directly to Xactimate. Rebuild told us estimates are pushed directly into each customer's own Xactimate account, with no file import or export, so you need your own Xactimate account. Job documentation also syncs to restoration CRMs; the documentation page names Albi, JobNimbus, PSA and Xcelerate "and more".

Rebuild publishes no prices; you book a demo. There is a web app, and the iOS app, Rebuild: AI Estimating, is free to download from Apple's App Store under Rebuild Technology Inc. and also runs on iPad. Rebuild told us it serves the US and Canada and also has an Android app; we did not find the Android app listed. Its customers page has three customer stories from restoration companies in Arizona, Wisconsin and Minnesota, each naming an owner or COO.

The trade-off: no price until you talk to sales, terms that state no contract, cancellation or refund terms, a privacy policy that does not mention AI, and improvement figures on its site with no stated method.

How it works

You book a demo through Rebuild's site, since there is no self-serve price. On a site visit your team uses the Rebuild app to take photos, capture moisture readings, record voice notes and upload tic sheets. Rebuild reads that documentation and generates an estimate with line items, which your estimator reviews before it goes to Xactimate; Rebuild told us it is pushed directly into your own Xactimate account, so you need one. Job documentation can also sync to a restoration CRM such as Albi, JobNimbus, PSA or Xcelerate.

Pros & cons

What works

  • Estimates written from field documentation

Photos, moisture readings, voice notes and tic sheets captured in the app become estimate line items, so the estimator reviews a draft instead of writing from a blank sheet.

  • Sends estimates to Xactimate

Rebuild's site says it is a Verisk ecosystem partner that exports estimates directly to Xactimate, and Rebuild told us estimates are pushed into each customer's own Xactimate account without a file import or export.

  • Restoration CRMs named

Job documentation syncs to restoration CRMs; the documentation page names Albi, JobNimbus, PSA and Xcelerate.

  • Mitigation and reconstruction

Its home page shows project types including mitigation, interior and exterior reconstruction, contents, mold, fire mitigation, biohazard and time and material, not only water mitigation.

  • Named company and customers

The terms name Rebuild Technology Inc. with a New York address, the iOS app is published under the same company, and the customers page has three customer stories that name the companies and an owner or COO at each.

What doesn't

  • No published price

Rebuild publishes no price and told us pricing is on request, so you cannot compare its cost with other estimating tools without a demo.

  • Terms leave out contract and refund terms

The terms, dated September 1, 2024, say fees can change at any time and do not state a contract length, trial, cancellation or refund terms. They also contain no termination clause and no statement about the accuracy of AI-generated estimates. Ask for these in writing before you sign.

  • Privacy policy does not mention AI

The privacy policy does not mention AI, model training or where data is stored, and the App Store privacy label lists only contact details as collected, although the app captures photos and voice notes. Rebuild told us it works with most of the major AI providers and uses customer data to train its internal estimating model only with the customer's express permission; ask for that in your contract.

  • Improvement figures without a method

Rebuild's site and customers page quote revenue and cycle-time improvements without saying how they were measured. Treat them as marketing.

  • Android app not found

Rebuild told us it has an Android app, but we found only the iOS app listed. If your crews use Android phones, confirm it in the demo.

  • Restoration only

Rebuild's site describes it as software for restoration contractors producing insurance-compliant estimates for Xactimate; it does not describe use for other trades.

Pricing

No published price: Rebuild's site offers only a demo, and Rebuild told us its pricing is on request (October 2026). The iOS app is free to download. Its terms say paid features are billed through a third-party payment processor and that fees can change at any time, and they do not state a contract length, trial, cancellation or refund terms, or whether you pay per user, per estimate or per company.
