About Knowify
Knowify is construction and project management software built for trade contractors, especially subcontractors, founded in 2012 in New York by Daniel de Roulet Jr. and Marc Visent. It is built around QuickBooks: with QuickBooks Online, nearly all operational and financial data syncs both ways in real time, and QuickBooks Desktop (on the Enterprise plan) syncs both ways on demand.
Core covers estimates and proposals, fixed-price contracts, scheduling, time tracking, change orders, progress billing and AIA pay applications (G702/G703), payment processing and QuickBooks Online sync. Advanced adds cost-plus and time-and-materials contracts, subcontracts, project budgets, daily logs, work orders, a client portal, custom workflows, job costing with real-time WIP reporting, advanced reporting and Zapier. Enterprise adds RFIs and submittals, document markup, QuickBooks Desktop and Intuit Enterprise Suite integration, and equipment management. A Service Pro add-on brings dispatching and inventory for service work.

Get the QuickBooks connection right first: agree the setup with your accountant, then import customers and active projects. Next, set up estimates, contract types, change orders and progress billing, and train office staff; then roll out time tracking to field crews and run your first projects alongside your old process before cutting over. Moving from spreadsheets or QuickBooks-only operations, most of the work is adopting structured project workflows that QuickBooks doesn't enforce.
