About QuoteIQ
QuoteIQ is an all-in-one CRM and field service app for home service contractors. It was built by contractors Mike Vidan and Justin Rogers and is based in Savannah, Georgia. The company says it launched in October 2023 and serves more than 40,000 users across 50+ home service industries, painting among them. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
For painters, QuoteIQ includes a Paint Calculator on every plan that turns dimensions into gallons, room-by-room line items (a room such as a master bedroom can carry prep, primer, two coats and trim as sub-items), and four estimate formats: Standard, Quick, Options (Good/Better/Best side by side) and Package. An AI Before/After generator creates an "after" preview from a photo of the customer's property, also on every plan. MapMeasure Pro, which measures walls, roofs, decks, fences and driveways from satellite imagery, starts on the Beginner plan. Customers can pay online by card, ACH, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and QuickBooks Online sync starts on Pro.
Pricing is per company with included users, and extra users cost $25 a month each on every plan. Billed yearly, Essentials is $25 a month (1 user), Beginner $83.33 (2 users), Pro $166.67 (4 users), Elite $250 (10 users) and Max $583.33 (20 users); billed monthly they are $29.99, $99.99, $199.99, $299.99 and $699.99. The page says yearly billing saves two months (for example $299.99 a year for Essentials). Each plan includes a monthly allowance of IQ Credits, from 500 on Essentials to 8,000 on Max, that power the AI features. Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle, unused credits do not roll over, and extra credits are sold separately. There is a 14-day free trial on all plans, and a credit or debit card is required to start it; the Terms say the trial does not apply to annual plans bought through special or promotional offers. Fees are non-refundable, and QuoteIQ's restoration and painting pages show lower prices than its pricing page and Terms.
The trade-off: important office features are tiered. The client portal, job costing, QuickBooks Online and email and text automation start on Pro, while pipelines, route optimization, inventory and the EmployeeHub team tools start on Elite. AI use is metered by credits, so heavy AI users should check how many credits their normal week uses. QuoteIQ is a multi-trade tool, so painters who want an estimator built only around painting production rates may also want to compare PaintScout.

Implementation
Start the 14-day free trial (a credit or debit card is required) on the plan you expect to use, since several features are tiered. Enter your services and rates, set up the Paint Calculator and your estimate templates (including Options estimates for Good/Better/Best pricing), and set up online payments so customers can pay by card or ACH. If you use QuickBooks Online, you need Pro or higher to connect it. Try the AI Before/After tool and, on Beginner or higher, MapMeasure Pro on a real job, and track how many IQ Credits a normal week uses before you pick a plan. If you choose yearly billing, note that the Terms make fees non-refundable and that promotional annual offers come without the free trial. QuoteIQ is a standalone system, so plan to move customer records over from any previous tool.

Does QuoteIQ work with Xactimate?
Xactimate is not mentioned on QuoteIQ's pricing or restoration pages. A post on QuoteIQ's own blog (updated May 2026) says it has no native two-way Xactimate sync, so carriers that require Xactimate line items still need that workflow alongside QuoteIQ.
Can I cancel QuoteIQ or get a refund?
You can cancel any time in the app settings or at myquoteiq.com (App Store and Google Play subscriptions through those stores). Cancellation stops future renewals, you keep access to the end of the paid billing period, and there are no cancellation fees.
