About Moveware
Moveware is ERP and CRM software for the moving and storage industry, sold through its website moveconnect.com. Brothers Dean and Tony Kent set up the company in Melbourne, Australia, in 2001 after buying the rights to an earlier moving package, Removals 2000, and the company says they still own it and work in the business full time. Moveware has offices in Melbourne (head office and development), London, Toronto and Bangkok (support), and says more than 300 companies in 35 countries use it, handling more than 500,000 moves a year.
The core Moveware system covers pre-move sales, CRM, operations planning, manifesting, post-move reviews, storage management with automatic storage billing, and more than 200 built-in reports. It includes its own accounting package, with invoices, online payments, receivables, supplier management, banking, general ledger and budgets, at no extra licence cost. Moveware says it can also connect to external accounting programs, but that 85% of its clients keep all their accounting inside the system. It supports multi-company, multi-branch, multi-country and multi-currency operations.
Around the core sit several apps and portals: MobiSurvey for room-by-room pre-move surveys, MobiCrew for crews to view job instructions, complete packing lists and inventories and collect signatures, MoveClient for customers to track their move and send leads through your website, MovePartner for corporate accounts and agents to track moves and approve quotes, and MoveTransfer for exchanging shipment details electronically with partners and agents. Moveware serves international, domestic, commercial, fine art, military, van line and storage companies, and says support is available 24 hours a day from its regional offices.
