About ZenMaid
ZenMaid is scheduling and business software for residential cleaning and maid service companies. Co-founder and CEO Amar Ghose started it in April 2013 after running his own maid service, Fast Friendly Spotless. The company's site says it is made in Palo Alto, California, and its team is spread across several countries. ZenMaid says more than 3,000 cleaning businesses use it.
The core is a drag-and-drop scheduling calendar with dispatch and map views, automated appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email, on-my-way notifications, invoicing with billing reminders, and card payments through Stripe or Square. The cleaner app for iOS and Android shows the schedule, entry instructions and job notes, handles clock-in and clock-out, lets cleaners add notes and photos, and has an SOS button that alerts the office.
Pricing is a base fee per company plus a fee for each team member beyond the owner. Starter is $19 a month plus $4 per team member and covers up to 40 appointments a month. Pro is $39 plus $14 and Pro Max $49 plus $24, both with unlimited appointments. Plans are month to month with a 14-day free trial, and text message charges are billed on top. Pro adds digital checklists, GPS tracking in the app, online booking forms, reports and payroll, QuickBooks integration and a tool ZenMaid calls Spotfinder for fitting in recurring customers. Pro Max adds Mailchimp and Zapier integrations, booking forms with your own branding, cleaner availability and PTO tracking, service ratings, data export and priority support. ZenMaid also advertises free migration help.
The trade-off: ZenMaid is built for maid services, so businesses that mix cleaning with other trades, or that run commercial janitorial contracts with site inspections, may be better served by a general field service tool or a commercial cleaning platform. Starter's 40-appointment cap and missing GPS tracking push most working teams to Pro, and texts cost extra on every plan. We did not find in-app team chat or a customer self-service portal on ZenMaid's product pages, so ask about those if you need them.

Write your confirmation, reminder and on-my-way templates, and estimate how many texts you send each month, since SMS is billed separately. Have cleaners install the mobile app and practice clock-in, notes and photos on a few real jobs. Choose Pro if you need QuickBooks, GPS tracking or checklists, and Pro Max if you need Mailchimp, Zapier or booking forms with your own branding.
