About BuildingReports
BuildingReports makes mobile and web inspection reporting software for fire, life-safety and security systems. The company is based in Suwanee, Georgia, was founded in 2000, and marked 25 years in business in April 2025. It serves three groups: service companies that inspect buildings, facility managers and national accounts, and fire safety officials (AHJs) who review compliance. It also has Canada and Latin America operations.
The core product is ScanSeries, a mobile inspection suite for iOS and Android with barcode scanning. It is split into apps by system: FireScan for fire alarms, SprinklerScan, SuppressionScan for kitchen hood systems, SafetyScan for life-safety equipment, SecurityScan for low-voltage security and HVACScan for mechanical work. ScanSeries can be licensed one app at a time, as several apps, or as the full suite. ManagerSeries covers scheduling, dispatch and work tracking, BRForms handles digital forms on mobile and web, and customizable web portals give customers access to their reports. For fire officials there is a web-based compliance reporting hub.
BuildingReports said in April 2025 that its network had passed 13 million inspections and included more than 1,400 service and facility management companies. It integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics and ServiceTrade, and sends reports to compliance platforms including IROL, LIV, Brycer's The Compliance Engine and the FDNY extinguisher filing process. An API supports custom integrations. QuickBooks is listed on its integrations page as coming soon.
