About Docket
Docket is software for roll-off dumpster rental and junk removal businesses. It covers customer management, drag-and-drop scheduling and dispatch with live driver tracking, a driver app that works online and offline, container tracking, billing and payments, a customer portal, broker tools and reporting. Docket also builds custom dumpster rental websites with a shopping cart connected to the software, so customers can order online.
Docket was founded in 2019 in Dayton, Ohio, by Brian Ingle and Dan Klimkowski. ServiceCore, the Colorado-based portable toilet, septic and roll-off software company, bought it in May 2023. Docket's site now describes it as a ServiceCore company with a Denver, Colorado, address, and it keeps its own brand, website, sales line and support line.
Dispatchers can schedule drop-offs and pickups plus exchanges, relocations, dump and returns, and live loads. Docket's GPS dumpster tracking records where each container sits, using PIN or QR code scans in the driver app. Docket says it sends more than 30 customizable email and text notifications, and customers can pay online, at the job site or through the customer portal. The pricing page lists integrations with QuickBooks Online, Mailchimp, Samsara, Verizon Connect and Dumpsters.com on every plan.
Docket sells three plans, Grow, Pro and Pro Plus, and does not publish their prices; you see pricing after a demo. The plans differ in card processing rates (3.0% plus 30 cents on Grow, 2.8% plus 30 cents on Pro and Pro Plus; ACH is 1% on all), included text messages (500 a month on Grow, 1,000 on Pro and Pro Plus) and the online shopping cart (basic on Grow, premium on the others). Pro Plus adds IronRouteAI, Docket's AI route creation tool. The trade-off: you cannot compare total cost without a sales call, and the built-in payment rates are part of what you really pay each month.
