About Encircle
Encircle is field documentation software for restoration contractors. Crews use its mobile app (iOS and Android) to capture photos, videos, 360-degree images, notes, moisture readings, drying logs, moisture maps and contents inventories on a loss, and Encircle organizes that into carrier-ready reports. The company was founded in 2012 in Kitchener, Ontario, where its office is still based, and it says more than 3,000 restoration businesses use it. In November 2025 it acquired The Edge, a rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimating tool, which is now sold as the Encircle Edge add-on.
Beyond documentation, Encircle sells Scope to Estimate, which uses the field data to draft an IICRC-aligned scope and a first-draft Xactimate estimate priced to your own Xactimate price list, then exports it to Xactimate. Encircle Floor Plan scans produce 2D floor plans that import into Xactimate to create the property sketch. Encircle says the app works fully offline and syncs in real time, and office tools include custom forms, e-signatures and payments processed through Stripe.
Pricing is per company, based on how many jobs you run a year, with unlimited users (including sharing) and storage on every plan, on a 12-month contract. On October 22, 2026 the pricing page's calculator showed Field Documentation at $261 a month billed annually or $285 billed monthly for up to 200 jobs a year, and Scope to Estimate, a plan that includes everything in Field Documentation, at $611 a month billed annually or $635 billed monthly for the same band; the price steps up for 201 to 400 and 401 to 600 jobs. Encircle's pricing FAQ says paying annually gets one month of Field Documentation free. Above 600 jobs a year the price is a custom quote. Every plan includes onboarding, a dedicated account manager and help desk access, and a 2-week trial is offered through an Encircle expert.
Encircle's integration page lists restoration job-management systems (Albi, PSA, iRestore, Xcelerate and JobDox), Verisk and VCA under claims management, Tramex moisture meters, Ricoh and Insta360 cameras, and equipment trackers from Kahi, Phoenix and Nero. Zapier and an open API cover other systems.
The trade-off: Encircle covers the field and estimating front end of a job, not scheduling, job costing or accounting, so most restoration companies run it next to a job-management platform. Check that your job-management system is on its integration list, and model the job-volume pricing against your annual job count, since the price steps up by band.

Set up custom forms and report templates to match what your carriers and program partners ask for, then train field techs on the mobile capture flow: photos, moisture readings, drying logs and contents. If you run a job-management system such as Albi or PSA, connect it early so jobs and documentation flow between the two, and enable the Xactimate integration if your estimators work in Xactimate. Because users are unlimited, add everyone who documents jobs.
