About Powered Now
Powered Now is job management software for UK trade businesses. The company, Powered Now Ltd, is registered in England and Wales (company number 07647786, incorporated in 2011). Powered Now says more than 4,000 UK trade businesses use it and that more than £2.2 billion has been invoiced through the app. It targets plumbers, electricians, gas and heating engineers, builders, landscapers, roofers, decorators and other trades.
It is built around UK rules. Every plan supports Making Tax Digital (Powered Now says it is HMRC-recognised), Professional and Premium can submit VAT returns, and it supports CIS and the domestic reverse charge for construction work. Core tools include quotes and estimates, invoices and part invoicing, online payments and payment links, a work diary, job sheets, projects, expense tracking, supplier invoices and purchase orders, plus compliant certificates and custom forms on Professional and above. Apps run on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and PC, and work offline.
Pricing is published in pounds, excluding VAT, on a rolling subscription with no contract. Business is £28 a month for a single user; Professional is £32 and Premium £40 per user per month. Annual billing gives two months free (£280, £320 and £400 a year). At 1.3207 USD per GBP (2026-10-08) that is about $36.98, $42.26 and $52.83 a month billed monthly, or $30.82, $35.22 and $44.02 a month on annual billing. There is a 14-day free trial with no card required. Add-ons include PN Receptionist (£29 a month for speech, £39 for speech and text) and Here Is My Work, a website tool with a free tier; its Premium version (£100 a year) is included in the Premium plan.
Integrations are Xero and QuickBooks for accounting (Professional and above) and SumUp for online card payments, plus what3words for job locations. Professional adds unlimited team members, staff location and time tracking, team chat and permissions, job routing, deposits, automatic quote and invoice chasing and recurring invoices. Premium adds a customer portal, drag-and-drop scheduling, appointment reminders, drawings and annotations, and AI tools for writing and receipt scanning. Support is by phone (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm), email and live chat.
The trade-off: Powered Now is built for UK tax and trade conventions, so it is a poor fit for US businesses. The single-user Business plan leaves out certificates, accounting integrations and VAT returns, so most VAT-registered trades will need Professional or Premium.
